Overview
This position works closely with the Project Management team and provides support for the entire life-cycle of a construction project. Project Engineers must demonstrate knowledge in construction practices and provide coordination and administrative support to their assigned project teams.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assist Project Manager and Superintendent for Project Engineering duties
- Coordinate weekly meeting minutes and logs as required
- Provide input and review project scopes and subcontracts
- Assist in Quality Control, ie.; job inspections, punch lists, etc.
- Contribute and assist in maintaining project documentation (Ex: RFI’s, Buyout Logs, Submittals)
- Assist Project Manager in managing and updating Project Budgets, Work Authorizations and Payment Applications.
- Coordinate, track and log all Management Systems using Procore Software
- Prepare and analyze subcontract change orders
- Assist in preparing and updating project schedules.
- Assist Project Executive in entitlements, pre-construction and estimating duties. (in main office as needed)
- Assist with various other construction tasks, as needed
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience as a project engineer for new construction of ground-up mixed-use commercial/residential
- Must be physically able to perform job walks and maneuver around an active construction site
- Must be physically able to perform all other tasks consistent with the duties of construction supervision and management
- Must be proficient in reading and understanding plans and project specifications
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
- Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy
- Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word) and Procore
